School Meals
Lunches are cooked in a well-equipped kitchen on the school premises; the meals are of a very high standard and are popular with children and staff.
School meals may be paid weekly on a Monday morning or half-termly on the first day of each half-term. If you choose to pay half -termly, the office will let you know the exact cost of the meals, taking into account any amounts which may need to be carried forward due to absences.
At Bramcote Church Of England (Aided) Primary School we operate an online payment system which is our preferred method of payment, however we do accept cash or cheque made payable to Bramcote CofE Primary in a sealed and clearly labelled envelope. If you are eligible for free school meals, the benefit office will inform you when you claim your other benefit.
Special diets on medical or religious grounds are available so do not hesitate to make a request to the office.
Healthy Eating
We provide an excellent standard in healthy eating, physical exercise and personal and social education. We are keen to promote positive attitudes towards healthy eating in our school. School meals are cooked on site using fresh ingredients and are very popular with our children.
Parents of children who bring a packed lunch are asked to make sure it is healthy and does not include chocolate, sweets or fizzy drinks.
Due to potential allergies no packed lunch items should contain nuts, or nuts products i.e. Nutella and peanut butter.
All children have a water bottle and are encouraged to drink water throughout the school day.
We are part of the national fruit initiative and give a free piece of fruit to Infant children at morning break. Other children may only bring fruit to eat at break times. Infant and Junior children are also offered milk following morning break.
