About Our School
Our School Vision & Ethos
We are a small Christian School with a family feel, we are proud to know our children and families well. We believe that each child is a valued member of our school community, a gift from God and we want our children to experience “Life in All Its Fullness” John 10:10 as part of living and loving like Jesus, so that everyone has the potential to grow in their own individual, unique way.
We are a community of learners built on mutual respect where we are all equal members regardless of religion, ethnicity, ability and family background. We want children to be proud of who they are as we promote acceptance, a freedom to be and foster curiosity.
Our Seven School Values; Respect, Co-operation, Honesty, Kindness, Perseverance, Creativity and Responsibility are inspired by Bible verses as we seek for them to shape our planning, our decisions and to define us as a school. We use our collective worship to promote our school values and as part of a wider opportunity for our children and adults to encounter faith by engaging in conversations about God, both as individuals and together.
We seek to empower our pupils to reach out and serve the wider community. We are situated in the heart of Bramcote and as such we have forged good links with our church; St Michael and All Angels, other local churches, charities and organisations.
At Bramcote C Of E Primary School, We Aim To:
- Nurture children to have a love of learning for life.
- Ensure that the curriculum is based on values found within the teaching of Jesus, is broad and balanced, offers opportunities for enrichment, meets national requirements and maximises the potential of all children.
- Ensure that children attain the highest standards they can, in all aspects of their school life, but especially in the vital areas of English and Numeracy.
- Provide an environment which encourages self-discipline, ensuring children develop independent learning and investigative skills.
- Promote an ethos which encourages the development of a positive self-image, self-confidence and self-worth and values the achievements of all.
- Ensure that children acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities they will need in adult life.
- Nurture the children in a Christian environment, experiencing meaningful and collective worship whilst respecting all cultures, religions and backgrounds.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with all the children and adults who are involved in school, valuing and welcoming the important contribution made by parents.
- Help to develop faith, in each individual within the school and its community.
- Maintain and extend the very positive links with the parish church and wider Christian community.
- Provide an inclusive environment, ensuring access to our building in line with national recommendations.
- Remember that a child’s Primary school days should include FUN!
